Memorial
Years you ran at MHS
1995-98/99 school year
Graduating year from MHS
1999 (was told by Coach Green that we had the best team since the State
Championship team of 1985.) 4 out of the 7 Varsity runners were the graduates of
99, Dennison, Koman, Heintz, Austin. Special thanks to Coach Lefler, for helping
us reach our potential.
Any records you hold
Ran 9:58 in the 2 mile, coming off an injury senior year of track. Ran 9:58 by
myself in a J.V race, was told by Coach Green after the race, I was the first to
break 10 mins in the last 10 years. By the end of track season I got my time
down to 9:48.
Beat Eric Heintz in a drag race in the parking lot of Mentor High School,
Heintz Geo Metro Vs. My Volkswagen Rabbit
PR for MHS Cross Country
My 3 best MHS Cross Country times: 17:03, 17:02, 17:01(I think for all 3 times,
the courses were all a little longer then a 5k J )
I unofficially ran 16:48 in the off season, but I guess that doesn’t count now
does it?
College Career
Ran Indoor/Outdoor track at Mount Union in 2000. Battled to many injuries and
hung up the spikes (I should have wrestled at Mount Union but someone with the
same last name, convinced me to run for the greatest program in the world…….Ha
Ha). So then I finished at Lake Erie College, ran Cross country for a season,
realized I lost too much and continued drinking beer like every college guy.

Town and state you currently live in
Jen and I bought a house in 2004, in good old Mentor
What you are up to now
I am in sales for a company called DCT in Westlake. I am getting married to my
high school sweetheart "Jen Jones" this summer June 18th,
2005. (I think that’s the date???) My brother Bill and my best friend Tom Erb
will serve as my best men. Jen and I live in a nice house with a dog named Vegas…..I
love Las Vegas cant you tell. I am also the proud GODFATHER of Miss Savannah
Dennison. To get into wedding shape, I picked up running
again. I am doing more and getting faster everyday and shedding some pounds, and
yes that’s a good thing. I am still playing softball all summer long and I am
in the Cleveland touch football league.
Last, to the team of 98/99, I will never
forget those good times we had, from the open team to the Varsity team, we were
the definition of a TEAM, thanks, and see you soon.
