Head Boys & Girls Coach: Bill Dennison

                    Bill Dennison is the head coach at Mentor High School of both the boys and girls teams.  This is his 8th year as the head coach of the girls team and his 7th  year as head coach of the boys team.  Prior to that, Coach Dennison was the assistant boys coach for 4 years.

       While coaching the Mentor High School girls team, Coach Dennison has led the team to four league championships and was named the LEL coach of the year in 2004, 2005 2008, and 2010.  He has led the girls team to the State finals in the last 2 years. 

While being the head coach of the Mentor High School boys team, Coach Dennison has led the team to six league championships and was named LEL Coach of the Year in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.  He has taken 4 boys team to the State meet, where they have finish 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 12th. He has also won 3 district and 1 regional championships.  

In 2006, Coach Dennison was named the OTFCCC District Coach of the Year, The News Herald Coach of the Year and named  the State Coach of the Year by the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches.  Also named The News Herald Coach of the Year in 2007,2008,and 2009.

Coach Dennison is a 1994 graduate of Mentor High School, where he was captain and MVP of the cross country team and captain of the track team. He attended Mount Union College where he ran cross country and track. While at Mount, Coach Dennison ran on teams that were nationally ranked every year and he is also a school and conference record holder.  

Coach Dennison is married to Terese and has 3 kids, Savannah 6,  Billy 4 and Brady 3 weeks.  He enjoys running (obviously) and spending his time outdoors.
