The following article was posted on Mile Split Ohio. Congratulations, Nick!

Congratulations to Mentor’s Nick Kozlowski on his impressive performance at the recent Mentor Invitational (Cardinal Classic). Kozlowski recorded a time of 16:38.40 to finish in 12th place against a strong field at his home meet.

Kozlowski was the 1st Mentor High School athlete to cross the line and the 2nd sophomore, trailing only Medina’s Harry Custer. Custer took 11th place with his time of 16:30.90.

Nick Kozlowski’s effort this past Saturday was a 5+ second improvement from his 2017 XC racing debut where posted a 16:44.10 at the GlenOak Golden Eagle Invitational and his time represents an Ohio #17 for 2020 grads and a new PR.

Kozlowski opted not to play varsity soccer this year due to his desire to focus on cross country and it appears that his decision is paying immediate dividends. Watch for Nick Kozlowski to produce more big results this season!
